Michael Lee Sink, known in his published work as M.L. Sink, brings a lifetime of discipline, curiosity, and global experience to his writing. He began his career in service to his country, enlisting in the United States Navy just days after graduating high school. After completing Basic Training at Great Lakes Naval Recruit Training Command, he graduated from Submarine School and Torpedoman’s Mate ‘A’ School, serving aboard a fast‑attack submarine until his honorable discharge.
Following his military service, Michael built a successful three‑decade career in the construction industry, specializing as a Construction Estimator for a wide range of trades and General Contractors across the United States, Bermuda, and the United Kingdom. Alongside his professional work, he earned a degree certificate in Ancient History and Archaeology from the University of Leicester, deepening his long‑standing interest in the ancient world and human storytelling.
Michael is the author of fourteen manuscripts, a collection of poetry, and three co‑authored novellas, writing across genres that include Historical Fiction, Literary Thrillers, Science‑Fiction Technothrillers, Poetry, and Short Fiction. His work reflects a blend of lived experience, academic insight, and a commitment to exploring the complexities of human nature through narrative.
He continues to expand his body of work while developing new stories that bridge history, imagination, and the evolving landscape of speculative fiction.
While living in the United Kingdom, Michael experienced a vivid dream that jolted him awake in the middle of the night. Compelled by the intensity of the image, he rushed to paint what he had seen. In that moment, he realized the dream was more than a fleeting vision—it was the seed of a story. What followed was a surge of inspiration that swept over him like a tidal wave.
Since, Michael has completed more than fourteen full-length manuscripts, three co‑authored novels, one instructional work, and a collection of poems. He writes between 2,000 and 4,000 words a day, capturing ideas with a kind of feverish momentum. When he isn’t writing, he turns to drawing and painting whenever time allows.
All of his literary work is created without the use of generative artificial intelligence
